Fires of Faith Documentary
Seth heard about the Fires of Faith documentary about the people involved with and the events leading up to the approval of an English translation of the Holy Bible. The film, shown in three parts, was created by Brigham Young University as part of the 400th anniversary of the translation of the King James Version. Seth pulled up the show online a week or two ago--we missed all its previous airings--so that we could watch it together. The first two of its three episodes were beautifully done. We were going to just watch one so we didn't stay up too late but found ourselves continuing on to watch the second anyway. (We'll have to watch the final one tomorrow or Sunday night!) The experts seemed well chosen, the reenactments were superb, and the story was both inspiring and heart-wrenching.
