Well, here's how the cake looked after we finally got working batteries in the camera.
Little after dinner entertainment
H decided that a cake can still be incredibly tasty even if it isn't chocolate.
Wish you could have seen her before dinner, toting around a box of brownie mix, begging and pleading with me to have it for my birthday instead of carrot cake--my mom's amazingly scrumptious carrot cake that I very easily may not have had for an entire decade. Right, girl. Like I'm going to change my mind!
